Karen McKay is not one of them.
This proud founder and owner of Thin Line Media, LLC, which publishes Working Dog Magazine, is busy and engaged. In addition to working on the magazine, she hosts the Working Dog Training Conference and the Working Dog Training Conference & Vendor Show; does outreach at other conventions; and is adding a new podcast: Coffee with Karen.
The podcast is a long-time dream come true for her. Karen has moved from selling and designing tactical gear to K9 gear, to putting her writing, publishing, and training-conference skills to work. Now, she couldn’t be more pleased to take this next step. It’s going to head in many directions!
Coffee with Karen provides listeners with an intimate, in-depth look into the lives of some of the world’s most accomplished professionals—showcasing dynamic and accomplished entrepreneurs, CEOs, moguls, and charismatic leaders.
Karen’s ready to talk dogs, veterans, gear, shooting, training, plus first responders, last responders, and patriotism. With that comes life, pain, fear, and healing. If that’s not enough, how about 2A advocacy and small and big businesses?
She knows blades, books, fitness, and cars. And what would Coffee with Karen be without coffee and food topics? She’ll even throw in discussing some travel, which she does for the food and coffee.
“Let’s get after it all! I’m fortunate to know some super cool people in these arenas, and have collaborated with some incredible brands over the years, so we’re getting into some short, sweet conversations,” says Karen.
Each week, she and her guests will discuss and laugh their way through trending topics and hot-button issues.
Karen and her stellar team appreciate the amazing amount of support, camaraderie, and friendships they have received and made along the way. She comments, “I’ve been doing this a long time, but it seems to be getting better and better!”
